I also would not normally get excited over said mop. But I did. It's so cool I even got my Mum to come over and look at it... she was impressed too.
This God of Mops that I speak of is the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop.
Check out my floor! |
What I love about this mop (and yes, I just used love and mop in the same sentence) is that it's so much more eco-friendly than the ones I'm used to:
- There is no need to fill up a bucket every time, there is a non-drip bottle that you fill with your preferred cleaning product and you just pull the trigger and it sprays on the floor. Perth is about to face massive water restrictions if we can't all save water this summer so not filling up a bucket definitely helps.
- The microfiber cloth is machine washable so you don't have to keep buying disposable ones - this reduces your carbon footprint (producing those disposable clothy things takes energy!) and reduces landfill too
Plus it's so quick and easy, it looks funky and as it swivels around the floor it picks up 50% more dust and dirt than your standard mop which kinda just pushes it all around.
I seriously love this mop so much it's being awarded the coveted Where's My Glow Seal of Approval!
If you'd like to get your hands on one you can head off to Bunnings and grab one for $39.95 OR you can WIN one here, hooray!
To enter all you have to do is:

Cleaning the windows & sliding glass door - which with two 4yr boys with sticky/dirty hands is almost daily ;) and ewww on the dead bugs & dirt in the window tracks (yearly job)
ReplyDeleteI already like you on FB ;)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted too ...can you tell how keen I am to win a mop (I must be kidding - it's for my hubby not me - I can't use a mop & bucket becajuse my legs are not strong enough to squeeze the water out, the kids can use the kitchen for a slip & slide)
ReplyDeleteYou don't squeeze anything but the trigger on the handle with this mop!!! Then you just rip off the microfiber pad and chuck it in the wash!
ReplyDeleteI HATE HATE HATE re-making the beds on sheet washing day!
ReplyDeleteRight I've given you the thumbs up on FB! One more hoop to jump through!
ReplyDeleteI've tweeted your giveaway! Can I go now?
ReplyDeleteI just hate cleaning full stop. At present We towels to clean the floor, and at the moment thats about 12 towels a day.can we say "Toilet Training". ugh!
ReplyDeleteI'm already a stalker, you know, in case you hadn't realised yet.
ok "we 'use' towels" also ignore poor grammar. kthxbai
ReplyDeleteCleaning the grout between the tiles
ReplyDeleteThis is such a brilliant idea! I'm going to look for one next time at Bunnings (if I don't win, hehe).
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite household chore is cleaning the shower. It's so fiddly and time consuming and I always seem to miss bits.
I hate changing bed sheets! Not really a cleaning task, but hate it. The stove is second on my list.
ReplyDeleteI follow on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI follow on Twitter!
ReplyDeleteI hate dusting! Especially the display cupboard in the kitchen that my husband keeps insisting needs to be filled with things like beer glasses, needless to say, he's not the one who does the dusting!
ReplyDeletei hate mopping the floors and folding the washing equally as much with 4 kids they are both big tasks made even bigger by my loathing them.
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning my blinds, it is such a fiddly annoying job!
ReplyDeleteI am following on twitter and have tweeted @marketraider
ReplyDeleteHave followed on FB :)
ReplyDeleteFolding washing is the bane of my existence. I've been known to stuff baskets of clean washing under the bed & in cupboards. Terrible. Emma of emma@bluechiptiming.com.au
ReplyDeleteThe cleaning job I hate the most.... That would be cleaning the damn oven. Partly because it's down low so isn't great on the back or knees and partly because.. well it's just a bitch of a job! (Can I say that on your blog?)
ReplyDeleteDo I really have to limit myself to one thing I hate the most? I pretty much hate all cleaning, okay the one thing I hate the most is cleaning poopy nappies, that one's pretty damn nasty
ReplyDeleteThe one task I truly hate is cleaning the boys' toilet. I have three sons who are all missing that vital gene that enables them to aim and then to focus long enough to stay aiming until the job is finished. Something they most definitely inherited from their father!!
ReplyDeleteHave liked you on Facebook :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like a bad stay at home mum but I don't like cleaning at all. Dishwashing and clothes washing not so bad. Floors haven't been mopped in god knows how long and the carpet is stained to the billyo. I am groaning about it right now but I'm also feeling the guilt. All my husband wants is a nice clean house :)
ReplyDeleteWhat cleaning job do I hate the most???? Oh there are so many I can't decide. It is a toss up between cleaning the shower and mopping the floors! I think cleaning the shower wins out just by a whisker, but only by a whisker, as it's the rinsing the bleech off and I can't work out how to not get wet and drown the bathroom at the same time! I really hate both though!
ReplyDeleteI have liked you on facebook too (Monnie Miff) and also tweeted about this awesome giveaway on twitter (@ADietingDiva)
ReplyDeleteI've tweeted :) (M_Beet)
ReplyDeleteI hate washing the dishes most of all, blurgh! Embarrassingly, I love mopping floors, but I don't like to admit it:P
ReplyDeleteI hate every single cleaning job!!
ReplyDeleteAs the domestic disaster that I am, I hate vacuuming and mopping most of all - we have very little carpet and so virtually the whole house needs the V&M treatment! Urgh! And just as I finish, Immy tracks sand back through the house anyway!!
ReplyDeleteP.S.I am already a FB and Twitter friend :)
ReplyDeleteI hate hate hate cleaning the shower. worse than cleaning the toilet.
ReplyDeletedoes my retweet of your tweet count?
ReplyDeleteProbably mopping because I have arthritis and it hurts. I have to work really hard to clean the crap the kids and pets have managed to stick to the floor, so a Reveal Mop would make my life so much easier. And I'd be helping the planet as well!
ReplyDeleteI've just twittered you so I'm in the running twice. Yay. (PS, I also hate cleaning out the kitty litter. Grosses me out every time. How can such cute creatures create such crap?)
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Twitter
ReplyDeletelove the idea that i don't need to buy refills!

ReplyDeleteI hate doing the dishes! There I've said it.
ReplyDeleteThere's not many cleaning chores I am a fan of, to be honest (although I do adore a cleah house - wrote a post about it last month!), but if I had to label one as the most loathed, it has to be ironing. Yes, I'll clean toilets, scrub floors, do a thousand loads of washing, but the thought of slaving over a bunch of clothes that need to be pressed leaves me a little cold. Once upon a time the husband did this - it was his "thing" and he told me he enjoyed it *shakes head in wonder*, but alas he's too busy now so it has fallen back to me...
ReplyDeleteI've tweeted too :)
ReplyDeleteI want one of these.
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning up cat yak.
I am going to retweet it now and you can check under #catyak
I suspect my cat will be going to the vets tomorrow

Erm...every cleaning job there is. But mostly anything child waste related. And with 3 small kiddies, there's a lot of those clean up jobs.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is washing so the reveal mop who be perfect for my liking of putting things in the washing machine but my most hated is cleaning the shower because it only looks clean for such a short time, sigh! Please, please, please, eyes shut tight and fingers and toes crossed!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower :)
ReplyDeletefollow you on FB :)
ReplyDeleteI cant stand cleaning the oven, when I was renting I would spend hours in an unflattering position half in and out of my oven, and the property Manager would walk in and swish her head from side to side and say, OK great, and leave, I would feel like shouting after her, Loon In My Freaking Oven!!!!
ReplyDeleteDid I mention I hated it?
Vacuuming. Hands down. I effing HATE it!
ReplyDeletePlus I already 'like' you on FB ... You know, being a FB stalker and all that. Babe. ;)
ReplyDeleteOK I have done all of the above! Do I get bonus entries now? ;)
ReplyDeleteOK worst job is cleaning the oven... yuk!!! Oh and ironing!
Have to agree... especially the bunk beds in the boys room :S
ReplyDeleteI dislike the mopping the most. But i bet with the reveal mop it would be much more enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteThe cleaning job I hate the most is my car, my pain in the ass hubby is a fanatic about cars.. now he inspects my car! so of course if he asks me to clean it, it makes me NOT want to clean it!!
