This Sunday is Father's Day in Australia which means at this very moment there are kids everywhere making really
It's Map Guy's second Father's Day so on one hand it's slightly less special than last year, but on the other hand, Tricky will be able to wake his Dada up this year with snuggly morning cuddles (aka jumping up and down on his head).
Map Guy (who subscribes to the blog but doesn't actually read it) is getting this gorgeous photo of himself and Tricky on the beach at Cervantes in Western Australia, in a nice frame.
Nawww, so cute. It's prolly the best photo I've ever taken and it's completely raw, no Instagram filters for once. Enough schmaltzy photos, let's Flog, baby!

That photo is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. I'm all into artsy family shots like that over traditional posed one's.
That's a lovely photo. Once he gets over the fact that his bum is on the internet I'm sure he will love it. Great memories. Butts not bad either :p
ReplyDeleteThe Irishman already got his awfully beautiful handmade Fathers Day card. Sienna made it at daycare on Tuesday, and it came with a chocolate coin. I was so tempted to eat it myself.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous photo. Thanks for the FYB. It's the first time I've gotten around to joining in :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely photo and such a simple idea. I think I try to make it all too complex and then come up with nothing. There is much to be said for simplicity!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photo. I was thinking of the same gift idea but then I realized hubby & child do not have any pic worthy of the wall. School held a Father's Day booth yesterday so Hubby will surely receive a mug.
ReplyDeleteAww bless...gorgeous pic. (And thankfully I looked back to the screen while typing that, as originally it said Ass bless... which is a whole other type of holy blessing, no?)
ReplyDeleteI think you should let Tricky at the paints and he can create a masterpiece card for Map Guy. And also redecorate your lounge, walls and floors, if he's anything like the twin tornado. I'm mega helpful, I know!
Such a beautiful photo!!
ReplyDeleteFather's Day is always in June here in the US, following Mother's Day in May, both of which are on Sundays. This is so confusing! I keep seeing Aussie Father's Day stuff and thinking I'm forgetting something....
ReplyDeletethat is a gorgeous photo!
ReplyDeleteAwww.. that's a nice frame-worthy pic :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I was trying out one link but it kept not showing up so I tried another link.. now there's 2. feel free to delete one.
Happy Friday!!
Ai @ Sakura Haruka
Gorgeous pic, Glowless! We're doing the ol' photo montage for Daddy's Day. It's Hubby's birthday next week too, so we'll have to get doubly creative. A handprint family tree, perhaps? xx
ReplyDeletewoohoo! thank you for my prize Glow! I have sent you an email xxx p.s. the photo of your boys is gorgeous and I am more homesick for WA than ever!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! J Boy and I are going to whip up a 'made with love' card this afternoon, complete with messy handprints and cheesy verse! Might buy some socks and jocks as well, just to get him accustomed early to standard Fathers Day gifts!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Mrs Glow!! Love your blog flogging. Happy Fathers Day weekend :)
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS pic, bet its received with love (and that Map Guy isnt actually reading!)
ReplyDeleteperfect pic. Just perfect.
ReplyDeleteYay for you giving MapGuy that photo...I "adore" that photo...
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Father's Day MG..and I especially am thinking of your dad ....this Father's Day...as he has his new lease on life...but sad too, that his dad recently passed away...
Love you..and your bloggy goodness D XXX
Naw, cuteness !
ReplyDeleteWell done on the "rawness" of it. Just love :)
That's a beautiful photo. Hope you have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo. Map Guy will love his gift!
ReplyDeleteAww! That is one gorgeous photo. Map Guy will love it. I remember the first Valentines James and I were celebrating after moving in together and I had taken all these cute photos of myself - which was a big deal - to get printed and James said to me one night "You're not doing something lame like giving me photos" and I was completely crushed and have never given him photos. Ever.
ReplyDeleteYou so lucky. Spring is beginning for you down there, under down there. Hope you have a great Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, you have been chosen to recieve the prestegious "Versitile Blog Award"
ReplyDeleteSee my post tomorrow for details@joeh-thecrankyoldman.blogspot.com

That's a really gorgeous photo, Glowless. Love it! The lighting is incredible! I think he'll love this. Better than a pottery ashtray, anyway!! Hehe!! ;)
ReplyDeleteTotally love that photo, so sweet and it will look amazing framed! Skye will be much more aware if fathers day this year too, hand made card and all!
ReplyDeleteI got so much sand in my pants crawling along the beach trying to take some arty farty shots. It was worth it just for this one. A few good ones came out of that day, but this is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteAll chocolate goes to mama in this house.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in, Kate!
ReplyDeleteSimple, doesn't break the bank, and I'm sure it will be loved. Was a bit expensive to get it put on a canvas, so a frame will have to do.
ReplyDeleteThere is much to be said for the mug! Map Guy doesn't have hot drinks or he'd be getting one too!
ReplyDeleteI think our Mother's Day is May? They're both on Sundays but I figured it was a good theme :)
ReplyDeleteWill you hang it up in a frame for me oh frame obsessed one???
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Ai, thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteEven Rocky had a montage.
ReplyDeleteWe've got some mighty fine beaches :)
ReplyDeleteI may or may not have got jocks for him too. At his request though :P
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leanne!
ReplyDeleteNup, he rarely reads. His work colleagues do sometimes so they keep him up to speed :P
ReplyDeleteYou can't really see, but MG was stroking Tricky's hair. It was so lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely going to be a tough one for my Dad. xxx
ReplyDeleteI tried playing with it in photoshop but kept just going back to the original image as it was.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bronnie x
ReplyDeleteHe requested a board game so I got him that too, even though it's more of a family present than a Father's Day present.
ReplyDeleteSpring. Achooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cranky :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh the good ol' pottery ashtray. Perfect :)
