FlogYoBlog Friday: The CHOGM Edition

Goooooood morning Floggers. Or should that be Choggers?

CHOGM has hit Perth and we are all in lock down. Well, close enough, anyway. But at least we get a public holiday - one they took off us earlier in the year and moved to today... so we have the day off and can't go anywhere or we'll be arrested. Or something like that. But we can get a free train ride to the locked down city where all the shops are closed for the public holiday... I'm thinking someone didn't think this through.

Now I'm a fan of cool acronyms, but CHOGM sounds like it should be something to do with trains, so with that in mind I've come up with some of my own:

Chuggington Has Only Gone Mental
Chocolate Houses Often Go Melty
Charming Hats On Ginormous Men
Cars Have Oily Grey Mufflers
Chickens Hatch On Grainy Mounds
Choke Hold On Great Mountains
Could Havianas Over Grills Melt?
Cookies Happen Outside Gourmet Mouths

    I'm wishing I had a public holiday today. It's show day in my town and I live across the road from the showground. Our public holiday is on Tuesday because of Melbourne Cup day. Having a public holiday on a Tuesday sucks because I still have to go to work on Monday. Of course, I could have used annual leave to take Monday off, but that would leave me a day short over the Christmas stand down period of which I have to take the whole month off because of my move/posting.

    Anyway, I hope you enjoy your free train ride. Children Have Only Great Memories of the queen. :)

    This silly American had to Google CHOGM and has no good acronyms up her sleeve. I'm actually dreading holidays, any kind of them, because it means that my family is at home, and they are constantly trying to bug the hell out of me. I like when they're at school and work. Wow, now I just sound lazy. Soon enough, I'll have a job, soon enough. I won't know what days I have off, though, so I won't be looking forward to weekends, or even "Tuesday to Thursday"....just whatever day of the week I happen to have off. Yay? Have a good....CHOGM....

    It's the end of the day and I still can't put one together. I had a shot at #2 comment and am not #35. I started with "Camel humps over...." then got stuck. I did think "Come Home Our Great Monarch" but I'm not really sure if someone might get offended by that. Could go either way between the monarchists and republications. Ah well. I just wanted to add that you have one great, witty mind there. I don't know how you keep coming up with themes for FYBF. You are brilliant! P.S: Good to see the weird blog stuff from this morning has been sorted out.
