So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Goodbye...

Where's My Glow? is shutting down.

Wow, that was a bit melodramatic, wasn't it? But it is kinda true, and hey, it got your attention, didn't it?

I'm going on holiday to Kota Kinabalu and rather than posting four times a week I will be swimming, playing at the water park (inside the resort), drinking cocktails, having massages and manicures and basically being a dumb white tourist for eight glorious days at the Tajung Aru Resort and Spa. Yes, spa.

Cocktail at sunset? YES PLEASE!

On top of that I will NOT be washing, cooking, cleaning, folding or scrubbing (or procrastinating instead of doing them which is actually what happens most of the time) for eight days. EIGHT DAYS! What a fantastic 30th birthday present (not til next month, but hey, close enough)!

I can see you turning green with envy through your screen (check your webcam is off, maybe I'm stalking you).

The last time I went on a relaxing holiday was my honeymoon. Now, three years later we're taking a toddler to a resort with a kid's club he's too young to go to... we may just be mad. Seeya!

So give me your trips for traveling in Asia with a toddler!

    Went to Asia twice with a toddler. The less equipment you have, the better. Not sure exactly how old your child is, but if they fit in a wearable carrier, bring it. Don't worry too much about anything - whatever you need is most likely available there. Take things as they come, realize it's a different type of travelling when you bring a kid and have fun!     Pack more hats than you think you'll need, plus sunblock and bug spray. Pack flight snacks in individual baggies, ie, handful of raisins, two crackers, to keep it exciting!!

    Wow, looks excellent! I'm not jealous - coz that would be an understatement! No tips on travelling with a toddler to Asia (that would require experience I don't have). Hope it goes smoothly for you, though! Happy holidaying!

    Shade of green? No! You must be imagining it ;) Have an amazing time. Tip for travelling with a toddler or pre-schooler. Take a stroller everywhere (even if the road/path is bodgy) and just let them sleep in it and continue whatever your doing!

    Have a Great trip! I'd say just to be on the safe side, dont let the bub eat from roadside stalls. Depending on the country, I don't eat from roadside stalls too :p diarrhea on a holiday is no fun!

    Umm take a grandparent?
    I have never been oversea's EVER. I haven't been out of this state in 15 years! (That's if you excluse the ACT which I do because it's IN our state, so i'm not really leaving it. I mean wtf is the ACT anyway.)
    It will be a sad time without some glowy posts, but alas we will have to await all your tales fro when you return.

    We went to Asia with a 20 month old and 4 year old. You will have a blast. I totally recommend a  fabric sling/carrier like Courtney B!

    Have an awesome time! Enjoy some time-out from the bloggy business and work on that tan. Ha! Like that can happen with a toddler. I had a week off last week while I took the kids away but managed to leave my blo-jo behind when we came home. Hopefully you remember to pack yours with you so you remember how to write when you get back! Will miss your posts x
